My names Lucy Wear, I am a freelance artist. Born in 1981 and have been raised and still dwell in Folkestone, Kent.
From a young age I was inspired by different forms of art.Threw out the years I have experimented with a wide
range of styles, from illustration to fine art.
Starting with humourous cartoons from an early age, teachers, family and friends this progressed in my late teens
to starting a small web based business where I would be commissioned for such pieces.
Although for many years I enjoyed illustration, as many artists i was eager to try new mediums and aspects of
design. As a keen follower of 70s and 80s style graffiti, I was inspired by the new works of "Banksy" threw
this admiration I started using oil on canvas.
Keeping to the same simple style of black and white, being completely self taught I found a real passion for
producing such bold almost simplistic works. From here my old love "Pop Art" which I had researched previously
re-entered my life ,here is where i found the perfect marriage for me.
Now using bold primary colour to make my works come alive! Bringing classic "pop art" to the 21st Century,
In the hope of introducing a new generation to share this classic style and how progressive it is.
